Snapshot 25w01a is out now!

Warning. Just like Minecraft Snapshots, Color-ometry Snapshots are early test versions in major updates, in this case, 1.1.0. Do keep that in mind.

Welcome to Color-ometry's first official Snapshot Release!

This was originally going to come out in January 3rd, but I decided to release it today to wish y'all a happy new year!

What's new in v25w01a?

  • Added Item Slots (Kind of like Minecraft)
  • Added  2 new status effects: Invisibility and Burning.
    • Burning and Poison cannot be active at the same time. If one is already active, the other will be omitted.
    • Invisibility is self explanatory.
  • 3 Items have been introduced so far.
    • The TNT and Nuclear TNT have been converted into Items, and can now be used to stun enemies for EXP.
    • The Strange Cup is a brand new item that gives you either a random effect, or 1 EXP.
  • Toast Notifications have been added, meaning you will now be alerted when Chaos Mode is engaged.
  • Added a Damage Indicator, that tells you Damage Taken, Health Gained, AND EXP Earned.

What's been fixed in v25w01a?

  • All NPCs now use a far better Ray casting system then Godot's dedicated Raycasting2D node.

What's been changed in v25w01a?

  • The ItemGiver enemy has a new sprite to better match the game's Art style.
  • ItemGiver has received a minor visual improvement, with Particles.
  • The EvilBullet projectile's particle's now Orbit around the bullet.
  • The version string in the World Size screen had its font size increased, allowing for more legibility.
  • The EXP Bar no longer shows a percentage, instead telling you how much EXP you have out of the amount required to level up.
  • the SHIELDS text animation has been updated.
  • the HEALTH_GUI has been moved to allow for a more clean look (hypothetically).
